You Can Support Green Power For Just $1.80 A Month!
You can support the current operation and development of future capacity at Coffin Butte by contributing the financial equivalent that has been assigned to blocks of Benton REA's allotment of Green Power produced at the plant. The cost to support Green Power will be 1.8 cents per kilowatt-hour more than your normal Benton REA rate. This means, for example, if you sign up to financially support a block of 100 kilowatt-hours every month, your bill will increase only $1.80. Benton REA's allotment of Green Power will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis until the full allotment is assigned. In order to ensure the proper allocation of the 72,000 kilowatt-hours, Benton REA must have a commitment from each individual purchaser. Therefore, to participate in the program, Benton REA members must agree to commit to at least one 100 kilowatt-hour block per month over a 12-month contract. The contracts are renewable.
